Zoe Saldana shares why her kids aren’t ready for ‘Avatar’ yet

Zoe Saldana is getting honest about why her kids haven’t watched the Avatar movies yet.

In a recent conversation with and! news At the Los Angeles premiere of the film Avatar: Fire and Ashes On December 1, the Oscar-winning actress revealed that she wanted her children to be fully prepared before watching the movie.

“I want them to be able to experience Avatar when they’re absolutely ready,” the 47-year-old mother of three: twins Cy and Bowie, 11, and Zen, 8, whom she shares with husband Marco Perego.

“You know, my kids are cute,” Zoe continued. “They’re beautiful flowers. I mean, they’re as resilient as you can imagine, but they go fast and I respect them for that.”

However, the actress revealed that her 11-year-old children watch Adam Sandler films as a guilty pleasure.

“They love Adam Sandler movies, which sometimes aren’t appropriate for 11-year-olds.”

Zoe also shared that her children have seen some of her other work.

“Someone watched one of the Guardians movies,” the proud mom noted. “They just started watching the Transformers movies because they’re such big Transformers fans.”

But Zoe’s children may be watching the Avatar movies in about a year, she added: “My older kids said to me, ‘In a year, ‘Mama, we’ll be ready for Avatar,’ we promise.” I’m like, okay.
