When you think about preparing ideal home entertainment, most people will immediately imagine either a TV or a display in its center, but I wanted to know if a pair of XR glasses could fill the space instead?
I know, I know. When this idea was installed to our Entertainment Editor, Matt Bolton, he looked at me as if I announced that the sky was green. However, as the competition explained, it was not very ridiculous.
XR glasses such as Xreal, Rokid, Viture and other TVs can be worn mainly. It is connected via a cable to your phone, computer, console or other favorite compatible device and providing an AR giant screen (often equivalent to a 100 -inch screen) that floats in front of you almost.
Confused that this may lead to an interesting comparison, Matt and TV writer James Davidson helped me out of 55 inches. Amazon Fire TV led by Mini.

XR glasses go up to the painting

When I travel, I make sure I have a pair of XR specifications in my bag – especially if I have a short train or a short trip as the seats will have a built -in entertainment system in it.

My other favorite place to use my XR specifications is while lying in bed, where I can display my screen with a lazy over me to prepare the final relaxation.
In any environment, the size of the giant screen is another huge plus. The vision filling screen makes everything feel more cinematic without having a giant display or TV that operates abundant space in my house.
What’s more, while there are many occasions that you will want to associate your glasses with headphones – either to improve sound quality or remove sound leakage – spatial sound provided by many models (such as Xreal One Pro glasses) great in immersing your favorite content, based on my experience.
The preparation of home entertainment with the peripheral sound can be too more chickpeas to achieve it.
Finally, I appreciate the privacy they provide for me.
Wherever I can enjoy my own entertainment bourear and do not worry about the inconvenience of anyone – whether my fellow travelers or neighbors are. TVs are looking for home operation
It may not be easy to navigate via televisions, but they have a lot of privileges.

Privacy is an advantage of glasses (as highlighted above), but you cannot currently back down the sofa with friends / family / flat colleagues and enjoy collectively with a click playing your specifications – so, you will need a TV.

There are no XR glasses (the time to write this report) like those I use 4K-accuracy-it’s full HD or 1080 pixels. While in the world of TV, you can find 4K TVs on Amazon less than $ 200 /200 pounds with minimal voltage, and Amazon Mini that I use for this comparison is also 4K.
I would also like to claim that although TVs are more than trouble to prepare them, as soon as everything is linked, it provides a smoother experience than using glasses. You can connect all your devices to many of their ports early and use your console to simply exchange them as required.
With glasses, you will need to move the cable manually between devices, and there is an additional friction for some technologies such as your keyboards, which require the HDMI-To-UsB-C transgender to display your specifications.
You can discuss devices like your phone, you will need a reverse adapter to show it on the TV – while most phones appear easily on XR glasses – but since many smart screens offer a kind of identical copy of the screen, I claim that these household entertainment phones provide an experience closer to experience in terms of the compatibility of the device.
Moreover, smart TVs such as the Amazon screen in my home do not even need any external devices to run the content. Just download the broadcast service you choose on the TV Fire operating system, log in, and click OS. XR glasses do not work unless you have something to connect to it.
(Surprise) game near
If you get away from thinking that TV is generally best for your needs, then you are identical to ready -made meals.
I have a two -bed apartment with a large living room that you do not feel controlled by the 55 -inch screen that currently occupies the main point in preparing home entertainment.
Although I love my Xreal travel glasses, if I have to give up the specifications or TV led by Amazon Mini, I will not think twice in my decision to pave the glasses.
But through the test, I can see a lot of scenarios that may not be the best TV.
For example: If you live in a flat share or a smaller apartment where the personal space is not available, then filling it with a large TV is not practical.
XR glasses allow you to have your giant screen regardless of your space size, and you can easily prepare it with your laptop when you want to work, your wisdom when you want the game, then your phone when you are ready to go back to the bed.
As you mentioned above, you can also take the specifications with you to make your trips more nascent.
The spaces are also perfect if you prefer privacy, as sharing your screen is the feature of television devices in social spaces, if you have thin walls and do not want to disturb your neighbors, the XR glasses with a pair of headphones will allow you to enjoy a home cinema experience without making any enemies.
When attached to a computer, you can also use it for a multi -task census with multiple windows at one time, which can also be useful if you want a multi -observer setting but it lacks the budget or space to achieve this.
So, even if XR glasses did not win for me, it is a race much closer than I thought it would be, and based on what you need more than your technical glasses, it can be a much better investment than TV.
