The higher prize and the $ 1,000 cash prize went to photographer Marusa Bochik from Slovenia.
Puhek ranked first honors from two deer that passes through the Slovenian generosity, which she seized as part of the “366 Project” – a challenge to take a picture every day for a year. Puhek started her project in a jump year.
Her photo also won the Gold Award in the “Nature – Art” category.
“It was a snowy day and I only had a wide -angle lens with me when I monitored two deers to run through snow generosity,” she explained.
“I took a few shots, I felt frustrated because I had no phone lens with me. The snowy surrounding areas remained an essential part of the composition,” says Bohece.
