“The White Lotus” was waiting for the Gaitok vision to show the killer instinct in the third season of HBO, and it appears that the hotel security guard is close to ever in episode 7.
While in the Battle of Thai Miah with his crushing, Mock (Lalisa Manoubal, Known for her best name LisaGaitok faces the world of violence – and it is raised with the fact that some people in the hotel may not be the ones who think they are.
Since one of the fighters go out, Gaitok looks at Valentin (Arnas Fedaravičius), one of the well -known teachers in the resort, and sees him chanting to Lori (Carrie Kun) and two of his Russian friends. Gaitok slowly begins to realize, through the memories of the past, that Vlad and Alexei were the two men behind theft in the hotel earlier this season.
Tayme Thapthimthong, who plays the role of Gaitok, Today.com that the moment of perception of his character is “very horrific”.
“When he goes to fight, it is clear that he is supposed to put him together, because the tall Russian man has very distinctive features, and it is clear that he remembers him before he abandons the pistol,” says Thabathimong. “So just to see it like,” wait for a moment, is this man? “Then to see him next to Valentin … It is just a kind of like,” no, I think this man is very cool. “
And he added: “Then (Valentine) was in fact the friend who allowed them to enter – everything gathered.” “But also, I think in his mind, it is like, did he tell someone? Like, if I tell someone, what will happen to him?”
Thapthimthong says he believes Gaitok knows Valentine’s background – moved to the hotel before the war began in Russia – and what he might mean involved in the crime in his work in Thailand.
“So I think he had a lot of sympathy for him,” says Thabathimong.
In the end, Thaptthimthong believes that Gaitok “is very disappointed” to know that Valentine can participate in the crime.
“Like, I thought you were a friend,” he says about his personality thinking. “We have trained Muay Thai together out of work. As you know, it seems that you are someone I will befriend him for a long time, but I cannot believe that you will actually allow me to harm like this and be fine, then I never say anything.”

Thapthimthong says he believes that his personality was always well with his job as a hotel security guard – and that Mook is the one who entered his head.

Thaptthmthong points to the scene in which Gaitok says he believes his job is very good, and that he bears great responsibility as one of the hotel’s security guards.

“The way I thought about the extent of the Gaitok and Valentin relationship at the hotel is that Gaitok is a very local man,” says Thapthimthong: “And any foreigner comes and ratifies it, like, very grateful. You know, it is like, my God, this man talks to me.”
This was part of his experience in service in the Thai army and training with American forces-some of his colleagues will be excited when an American soldier spoke with them so that they can practice their English.
Likewise, Thaptthong believes that Thai security guards will be enthusiastic about a foreigner talking to them, especially another hotel worker. It indicates how Gaitok reaches when Valentin offers him a ticket to the battle of Muay Thai in Episode 2.
“I played it as you know, it is clear that he is looking forward to Valentin, as a very wonderful person, and has amazing physical fitness as well,” says Thabethmhong. “And he is doing Muay Thai – I always thought that Gaitok is not a violent young man, but he does, just like most men in Thailand, enjoying watching the battle of Muy Thai. So he is definitely looking to Valentin this way.”
After fighting, Lori returns home with Alexei and swings with him. Then he asks her money – more than 10,000 dollars – to help his sick mother in Russia.
While Lori tries to say no, you hear a blow to the door. She’s Alexei’s friend is trying to enter. Alexei tries to stop while Lori runs another room, as she discovers stolen jewelry while stealing at the hotel.

Thapthimthong says he used his experience in the army and works in security to make Gaitok’s behavior convincing.

Thapthimthong says that each episode has pushed Gaitok to the brink of the abyss.
He says: “From episode to episode, I wanted to let Gaitok develop from smiling all the time and anxiety, because, for example, no one will break into this hotel. I will never have to use a weapon.” As each episode continues, as I saw, it becomes a little more stressful for him. “
He says that the end of the second to the last episode is preparing each character perfectly for the final – although he was sure not to allow any secrets to slip.
