Washington – President Donald Trump says the United States stands with Greece because it recovers from its economic crisis. He speaks with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at the White House at a joint press conference.
The US President says that the two leaders discussed defense, energy, trade and trade.
Trump praises Greece for his defensive spending under NATO and indicates a possible sale of Greece to upgrade the F-16, which he says will be worth $ 2.4 billion and generate thousands of the United States.
Tsipras says his country has taken economic steps and “left the economic model that led to the crisis.” He says that the relationship of Greece to the United States is “more important than ever.”
