Volunteers plan 10,000 roads in Great Britain to help make walking available Walking

Volunteers have appointed 10,000 paths walking across Great Britain in an attempt to make rural walking easier.

Provides accessible methods and picturesque landscapes for persons with disabilities, parents with children and the elderly, according to Slow Ways, the campaign group behind the project.

The collection has searches and draws these walking road maps since 2020, and has now made it available on a dedicated website and an application.

“For millions of people, these methods give psychological security and confidence that they did not have otherwise. They do not want to risk not knowing whether the road is appropriate for them, or if that will enjoy it,” said Daniel Ravin Ellison, CEO and founder of Slow Ways.

The new application will include 7,699 roads in England, 1510 in Wales, and 854 in Scotland, giving users 112,000 miles of walking to choose from.

Raven Eileson, who was previously a teacher of geography, said famous applications such as Google Maps and Apple Maps “do not give information about the reason that the path is good or what will look like it.”

In contrast, slow roads can say if a wheelchair can be reached, and whether there are animals along the way, and if your shoes will keep white and clean. “

He said that the initiative was an act of the geography of citizens and “completely democracy.” Volunteers all over the country have collected data about road quality and made suggestions on how to reach them more, which were made by a group of puzzles and then reviewing them.

“There is a lot of neglect and excessive growth, which makes the roads more vulnerable.”

Encourage people to walk along the enjoyment methods, which would indirectly help preserve the environment.

“The unusual road usually becomes properly mastery because people feel separate from it. When people use these methods frequently and get closer contact with the surrounding nature, they will be more considerate about taking care of them,” he said.
