
Verizon Samsung announced that its mobile network is finally back up and running again, after a service outage prevented users from making phone calls for more than 10 hours on Wednesday. You should now be able to resume using your phone as usual, although you may have to restart it first.
“The outage has been resolved” Verizon on X posted at 10:20 PM ET/7:20 PM PT. “If customers are still experiencing an issue, we encourage them to reboot their devices to reconnect to the network. For those affected, we will provide account credits. Details will be shared directly with customers. We sincerely apologize for this disruption.”

The Verizon outage began earlier Wednesday at approximately 11:55 a.m. ET/8:55 a.m. PT, when a mass outage was tracked Downdetector I started receiving thousands of reports from customers who were having trouble connecting. The outage stuck Verizon customers’ devices in SOS mode, preventing them from making phone calls or using their mobile data. Verizon apologized for the temporary lack of service, and promised to assign credits to affected users’ accounts in order to compensate them. However, no explanation has been given yet as to what caused the Verizon outage. More information will likely be released in the coming days. Now, dissatisfied customers are taking to social media to demand answers, and some are threatening to switch carriers.
