Trump’s Oval Office address praises the administration’s domestic victories and announces a Christmas bonus for news troops

On Wednesday evening, President Donald Trump spoke from the White House about the economy, energy, foreign affairs and more, in an address to the nation just over a week before Christmas.

As RedState wrote earlier this afternoon, the President and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, along with First Lady Melania Trump, attended a dignified official transfer ceremony at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

Then just before leaving Dover, Chief. Trump gave a teaser of the “message” of his speech on Wednesday evening.

He also shared a reminder about the speech he gave tonight upon his return to the White House.

Earlier today, White House Press Secretary Carolyn Leavitt said Hint That the speech will cover Trump 47’s “historic accomplishments” such as borders, inflation and what’s to come.

In another hopeful and major step on Wednesday, Republicans in the US House of Representatives passed a health care plan, which is now being presented to the Senate for consideration.

Before we move on to the President’s speech, there was some positive economic news ahead of Trump’s speech for all Americans, and this news relates to a feeling of high confidence in the American economy by the same people who often work to grow that economy through investment and employment. Axios I mentioned Wednesday on the results of two recent polls of CEOs and investors, both of which showed that most are optimistic about the direction we are headed.

Investors’ optimism is at “the highest level since August 2021” about the economy, according to a survey conducted by Bank of America that included more than 200 fund managers.

To a lesser extent, a recent quarterly survey of CFOs (chief financial officers) conducted by Deloitte, known as CFO Signals, with input from 200 executives (coincidentally), “measured executives’ optimism about overall economic and business conditions on a scale of 1 to 10.” “And showed”[c]Confidence rose to 6.6 in the fourth quarter from 5.7 in the previous quarter and 5.8 a year ago.

Here’s the part that’s particularly relevant to the president’s speech. These CFOs are “less certain than they were earlier this year about big policy shifts such as tariffs and regulation, and about interest rates,” Axios reported.

One of the president’s main points. In his speech, which lasted just under 30 minutes, Trump addressed the subtle shifts in economic policy from former President Biden’s term, including affordability, explaining that they go hand-in-hand with the illegal immigration debacle caused by Biden:

He said that Americans’ salaries are thriving compared to what they were during the president’s era. Biden:

Trump added another epic fact about employment during the new administration, with every new job created in the private sector:

He addressed how high inflation rates have affected the mortgage market, describing it as “depriving many families” of achieving the American dream:

He raised the corruption of politicians who hurt Americans and their well-being, including a Somali gain in Minnesota under a Democratic administration:

Trump has talked about reverse immigration, where many illegal immigrants have self-deported over the past year since his return to office, which is a boon for Americans looking for jobs or new homes:

He also announced some news saying that all service members will receive “Warrior Earnings” as a Christmas gift:

Looking to the future, the President spoke about the upcoming World Cup competition hosted by the United States, the celebrations surrounding our nation’s founding in 2026, and how the world will marvel at our accomplishments and greatness in the new year:
