TRANSCRIPT: Ailing Trump is strangely quick to reveal a secret plan to manipulate 2026

Will the electorate in 2026 be as good as it is in 2025? I guess we don’t know that. I think this is possible. But what we do know is that midterms are historically very bad for incumbent presidents, and we have a tremendous outpouring of support and people are really angry about the direction of the country.

So, if we can hire candidates who are willing to talk about costs, and are willing to follow that playbook, we should be in a decent position. It is indeed possible that these Republicans have completely overstepped their bounds. And if I were a Republican congressman, this is the thing I would be calling my state legislature right now – if they were considering changing my seat.

Sargent: Right, that’s very interesting, actually. So these results – this landslide Democratic victory – will make Republican members of Congress who have safe seats say to themselves, Heck, maybe if I redistricted my state, it might put me on the hit list all of a sudden, And they won’t want that. So we’ll have to keep an eye on that moving forward.

Ultimately, it doesn’t look like Trump will be able to get the filibuster over and pass voter suppression measures, but Republicans will pick up some additional seats — however some of that may backfire.
