Although McCarthy has not specifically answered a question from the Times about Kelly’s comment on his talks with Brady, it seems that the US Football Association is sure that the restrictions imposed on Brady will prevent Brady from obtaining any information that no owner will be able to gather.
“Tom is still banned from going to a team for practices or production meetings,” McCarthy said in his statement. “He may attend production meetings remotely, but he may not personally attend in the team or hotel facility. He may also hold an interview outside the site with a player as he did last year several times, including Super Bowl. Of course, as is the case with any production meeting with broadcast teams, it is up to the club, coach or players to determine what they say in these courses.”
