Three things we learned – Brighton and Hof Albion 2-1 Manchester City

Manchester City fell to a disappointing defeat by Brighton and Hof Albion at American Express.

City 1-0 was wandering thanks to Erling Haland’s goal in the first half, but James Milner’s penalty and the late goal of Brajan Gruda was sufficient to earn three points.

It was the first 60 minutes of City exceptionally positive, but it was the second best team in the last third of the match, as the funny handball in Matheus Nunes was leading to a penalty kick, which is the match turning.

Here are three things that we learned from defeat on the southern coast:

Building is anxious to move forward

I don’t want to look harsh on James Trafford – I think he is an excellent young goalkeeper, despite the arrival of Gianluigi Donnarma, he will be the first goalkeeper in City one day.

But at this moment of time, City is not in a good position to get a goalkeeper from his file or Donnarumma.

Both of them are exceptional photography plots – better than Stefan Ortega and definitely Esrson. But they are both average in getting rid of the back, which is a huge feature of what Pep Guardiola previously demanded from the goalkeepers.

However, some of the city’s attackers, especially Halland and Marmoush’s order, may match a more transitional type of play, but the weak defense (especially in full back) will struggle under the increasing pressure.

Esrson spent a poor year last season and may run his race, but I also feel that City will suffer more than most people suspect in his absence.

The suite options are very bad

It was a mental window for the city in terms of expenditures and selection, but I am not fully convinced that they allowed it.

The main point here is a lack of quality on both wings. Each player is a possibility, a talented player waiting for the explosion.

Oscar Bob for me is their best. It was very good against wolves, well against Tottenham, good in the first half against Brighton but very poor in the second period. Nevertheless, I think nearly a year after the injury, it will improve to be more consistent and be good enough to be a reliable player in the title of winning the title at least.

However, Savinho and Jeremy Doku, as I have documented before, are not good enough to start the City winning team, in my opinion.

Both are not reliable with their final product and do not provide sufficient goals and assistance. To be fair, Jacques Grilliche or Bernardo Silva did when City won the three, but they contributed greatly in other ways.

Omar Marmoush shows more promise. It excels in certain circumstances, while leaving the left left interferes with it. He was the best player on the field in the first half, before Duku replaced him in the second period.

I understand that the city will not want to sell Savinho and be at risk of being the next Cole Palmer. But with replacement being a clear upgrade in Rodrigo, I think City will live to regret it.

Joseanov is one of the important assets

In no way was effortlessly against the seagulls, but Abdokuder Joseanov should be a center to start forward to the city.

Uzbekistan International joined in January, and it was for six months for the first six months in the city shirt.

He has already shown his value with his strong pace, which led to saving the city several times against Brighton. Its improvement in the air dueling, playing the ball and carrying the ball is also noticeable.
