Like mounted controllers, Abxylute’s new gamepad is designed to be used with phones in landscape orientation, but it places the controls at the bottom of the screen, rather than splitting them on either side. These controls include a D-pad, ABXY action buttons, a pair of shoulder buttons, a small joystick, and additional navigation buttons including quick access to the home screen.
Abxylute says the controller’s rechargeable battery will be good for up to 13 hours of use, and that magnetic stand can be completely removed if you want to use the M4 as a standalone wireless controller with other devices. It’s not yet known which devices and controllers the M4 will be compatible with, but more details will be revealed when the company launches Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign In early November.
