(MedPage Today) – The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved an intravenous combination of fosfomycin (Contepo) for the treatment of adults with complicated urinary tract infection (cUTI), including acute pyelonephritis, caused by susceptible Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae.
