The court returned to the session after the lunch break, and the opening data is expected to start soon in the historic lawsuit filed by Dominion Potting Systems against Fox News.
Here is what you need to know about the state of high risk:
Why do Dominions sue Fox news? A lawsuit was filed against Dominion in Fox News in 2021 due to the frequent promotion of the frequent right of the wrong demands about the company, including that its voting machines falsified the 2020 elections by turning millions of polls by Donald Trump to Joe Biden. Most of the 20th broadcasts that occurred in the lawsuit occurred in November and December 2020.
The company claims that people in Fox News acted with actual slag and “ignoring the truth recklessly” when they spread this misinformation about sovereignty. To prove the “actual slag”, Dominion should persuade the jury that people in Fox News who were responsible for these twenty broadcasts know that Dominionists’ claims were false or ignored recklessly from the evidence for the flower-but they put it in any case.
According to Dominion’s theory in the case, Fox promoted conspiracy theories in these elections because “lies were good for Fox’s work.” Dominional suit specifically on the offers hosted by Le Dobes, Maria Barteromo, Carlson, Shawn Hanity, and Jenin Peru. Dominion said that, as a result of the “organized defamation campaign” of Fox, he suffered from “tremendous economic damage and cannot be repaired” and that its employees were killed and harassed.
What is the Fox defense? Fox said that he did not distort anyone and that the issue was an assault that was not worthy of the freedoms of the press.
A Fox spokesman said that the network is “proud to cover the elections for the year 2020” and that its cover “stands at the highest tradition in the American press.” The company said: “Dominional lawsuit is a political crusade in search of a financial surprise, but the real cost will be proud of the rights of the first amendment.”
Fox also accused Dominion of generating “noise and confusion” on the issue, saying: “The essence of this issue is still on freedom of the press and freedom of expression, which is basic rights provided by the constitution,” specifically the first amendment.
Fox tried to obtain the lawsuit. But in a major blow to the right network last month, the judge who supervises the case allowed the trial. Fox was also banned from calling some of the first first amendment defenses, and found that it was in vain.
What is Dominional asking about? Dominion is looking for $ 1.6 billion in damage. They say Fox’s lies that destroy their reputation and cause their election employees to cancel their sovereignty contracts. CNN recently reported the growing lack of voting machines in severe republican provinces.
What are experimental logistics? The trial is expected to continue from five to six weeks and will be supervised by the Supreme Court judge in Delaware Eric M. Davis, who was appointed to the state seat in 2012 by a democratic ruler. A committee consisting of 12 jurors and 12 alternatives is held.
Cameras are not allowed in the courtroom and there will be no video of the procedures. There will also be any filming still inside the courtroom.
Who is expected to witness? Witnesses are expected to include the CEO of Fox Corporation Rupert Murdoch and his son Murdoch; Fox News CEO Susan Scott and President Jay Wallace; Distinguished television hosts Taker Carlson, Sean Hanity, Maria Barteromo, Le Dobs, Janine Peru, and Brett Bayer, are among others.
Dominional said that Vette Din, the chief legal official of Fox, and former House Speaker Paul Ryan, a member of the Fox, may also invite the witness.
Both sides also hope to provide a certificate from their experts chosen by hand, who specialize in election statistics, the security of voting machines, journalism ethics, the impact of misinformation in public discourse, and more.
