
The U.S. military’s Southern Command launched another deadly strike on a boat suspected of carrying illegal drugs, killing four men in the eastern Pacific Ocean, the Pentagon announced Thursday.
Video of the new hit was Posted on social media By the US Southern Command, based in Florida, with a statement saying, under the direction of Pete HegsethThe Minister of Defense said, “The Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a deadly kinetic strike on a ship in international waters operated by a designated terrorist organization.”
The statement added, “Intelligence confirmed that the ship was carrying illegal drugs and was transiting along a known drug smuggling route in the eastern Pacific Ocean. Four male drug terrorists who were on board the ship were killed.”

The latest strike comes as the Pentagon and the White House struggle to answer questions about the legality of the campaign to kill suspected drug traffickers with military strikes, with US lawmakers promising to investigate the first such attack, in September, in which two survivors were killed clinging to debris in a subsequent raid.
