The man declares a country in the pocket of the land that is not demanding between Serbia and Croatia

In a video call, Daniel Jackson, 20, appears to be the president who declared himself to the Free Republic of Verdes, the part: He sits on an office with the country’s knowledge on his right and a flag wearing his country’s name behind.

Instead of a presidential palace, he speaks from a humble house in Dover, a city of port in southern England. And the Free Republic of Verdes, the country it claims to establish in 2019, is nothing more than a small strip of uninhabited forests on the border between Croatia and Serbia, more than 1000 miles away.

However, due to a historical border dispute, Jackson, who was born in Australia, claims to be the owner and the land ruler.

Known as “Jeep 3”, the forest tape was almost of the volume of the Vatican from among many left, the two countries did not claim after the end of the Croatian Independence War in 1995.

Jackson is now imagining a country that can serve as a draw for humanitarian relief workers.

He said: “Verdes was an idea when I was about 14, but it returned, and in fact, we established the state properly after it reached 18 years.” “The reason was that it was just an idea that I initially reached many people who I know that this did a human work in Ukraine. We wanted to do something that was a little larger than, you know, just providing assistance to one country.”

He added: “We want to be a neutral country. We want to be a center for NGOs. We have a huge human background.”

These noble goals may be reduced due to the reality of neighboring countries that do not recognize the existence of Verdes and may be hostile to their potential citizens.

“In October 2023, when we started a settlement, and a few days later the Croatian authorities destroyed this settlement,” Jackson said, noting that he had obtained a permanent ban from Croatia and other settlers who were banned for three months.

He added: “I have often visited Verdes before the Croatian authorities invaded Verdes. We have done a lot of efforts, and a lot of wiping. We have first planted science earlier that year.”

Jackson was partially inspired by Libeland, another pocket that was not required between Croatia and Serbia that in 2015 he was converted into microscopes by Czech politician Fit Gidlika.

It is a symbolic country that provides virtual citizenship and an economy based on cryptocurrencies, but has not been recognized by any official country, and the Croatian authorities have prevented material access to it.

Jackson says that while some principles share with Libeland, he wants to become the free Republic of Verdes, a realistic settlement of its citizens with noble principles.

“We have the opportunity to test, for example, new regulations,” he said. “We can allow citizens to have a new start. So people from all over the world want to try something new mainly.”

Currently, Verdis is only on the website where people can apply for citizenship. According to Jackson, 15,000 people have advanced so far, and 400 have already been delivered on passports and material identifiers. Legitimacy or not, Verdisi documents were used to cross the border.

“There are cases of successful crossings, but it is not something that we will encourage unless that country does our documents officially realize,” Maktoma Jackson.

Jackson says he now lives in “exile” in Dover, where he meets with friends and plays video games.

Along with the Minister of Internal Affairs and other officials who are planning to attend a protest outside the Croatian embassy in London, according to the official website of Verdes. “We will also hold a public meeting and Lahama in a local cafe or a bar after protest,” says the website.

Jackson said: “While I am the president of Verdes, I still live like any other 20 -year -old,” Jackson said.
