As we reported, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) appeared on ABC with Jonathan Karl on Sunday and bombarded Democrats and their performance on “No Kings” with some realism. He pointed out that if President Donald Trump were king, the Democrats would not be able to hold this ridiculous event.
🚨 BREAKING: Speaker Johnson has just dropped a real nuke on No Kings
“If President Trump were king, the government would be open right now. If President Trump were king, they wouldn’t be able to engage in this exercise of free speech.” 💯

The fact that Democrats were able to organize their protests and not get shut down refutes their point.
Additionally, as Johnson explained, if Trump were king, the federal government would be open; Its closure will not last.

Johnson explained that the House of Representatives did its job. Now is the time for the Senate to do its job, but it is up to the Democrats Voting number.
“The House of Representatives did its job, exactly a month ago, on September 19. We passed the clean resolution,” he said. “Democrats have voted 11 times, with the exception of three Democrats in the Senate, who have voted 11 times to shut down the government and cease and desist those programs,” Johnson said.
But there was another element to the discussion that Democrats wouldn’t like. That’s when John Carle said this:
🚨 Holy crap! It got so bad for Democrats that ABC even admitted the truth
ABC: “Democrats did not vote for the Clean Finance Bill. They chose to shut down the government!”
Speaker Johnson is enjoying it 🤣

“Democrats did not vote for the clean finance bill,” Karl noted. “They chose to shut down the government to fight for health care and the other items I mentioned.” Sorry.
Johnson pointed out that it was Republicans who were fighting for health care, and that they were fighting to keep Medicaid, make it work better, and not transfer it to illegal aliens, for example. Democrats want to turn all of that upside down with their current demands. They want to hold the government hostage, overcoming a shutdown that they have been unable to achieve through regular votes on other legislation. This doesn’t even make any sense as they have voted cleanly on record in the past.
It’s all about Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) standing in favor of the leftist base so as not to lose his seat to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Now, of course, the fact that Democrats have chosen to shut down the government is self-evident from the vote – you need 60 votes to open the government on a clean continuing resolution, and they keep voting against it. However, that hasn’t stopped Democrats from trying to shift the blame to Republicans. But even when it gets to the point where ABC has to admit it’s the Democrats, you know the Democrats’ messaging on the issue has failed.
They can’t even sustain this media narrative anymore.
Editor’s noteSchumer closes here. Instead of putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats imposed a government shutdown of health care for illegal immigrants. They own this.
