The cultivation of brain reading, which translates nerve signals, allowed an audible discourse for a paralysis woman to hear what she intends to almost immediately.
The researchers improved the device – known as the brain and selection (BCI) – with artificial intelligence algorithms (AI) that decipher the sentences as the woman thought about it, and then spoke loudly using an artificial sound. Unlike previous efforts, which can only produce voices after users have finished a complete sentence, the current approach can discover words at one time and turn them into a speech within three seconds.
