The Los Angeles Angeles team has acquired veteran painkillers Luis Garcia and Andrew Shavin, Washington’s citizens, in favor of two young contestants while they were pressing to end the post -season drought.
Citizens Triple-A Hander Jake Eder and Double-A have received the first Sam Brown Baseman in the deal.
38 -year -old Garcia, a right -wing era, published a 0.90 era in 10 games for citizens after the start of the season, the thirteenth place in the majors, with Los Angeles Dodger. Garcia scored 5.27 era in 28 games with Dodgers before appointing the mission in late June. He signed with citizens on July 8.
Shafin, 35, scored 2.70 pm in 26 games for Washington. The angels will be the eighth team of the left team in 12 major league seasons.
