The ancient New Zealand image falsely shares the effect of the Myanmar earthquake

A catastrophic earthquake was killed in Myanmar more than 2000, accumulated roads and collapsed buildings in the largest city in the country, but a picture of a large crack in a joint street on the Internet in fact showing the damage of the earthquake in New Zealand. I opened the street in Kreystech after a 6.3 -size tremor in 2011.

The ruling military council said on March 31 that 2056 was now confirmed, as more than 3,900 people were wounded and 270 people are still missing. At least 19 people died in neighboring Thailand.

The Military Council says it is doing its best to respond to the catastrophe, but there were multiple reports in the last days of the army carrying out air strikes on armed groups opposing their rule, even when the country was repeated from the destruction of the earthquake.

A Search for reverse images I found on Google the same image on the British Photo Agency website PioneerPosted on March 20, 2011 (The archive link).

“Large cracks appear in the Craysherch in a huge earthquake,” reads the image. Another description shows that the photo was taken in the Fitzgerald Avenue Bridge over the Avon River.

Craysherch was injured by a 6.3 Size earthquake On February 23, 2011, which left 185 dead and cost the country billions of dollars in damage (The archive link).
