Could a new showgirl be headed to Las Vegas?
Taylor Swift received an open invitation from the Backstreet Boys to join them on stage following the huge success of her song “Elizabeth Taylor” and the band’s song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”
The remix by Lydia Getachew has gone viral again after AJ McLean shared it on his Instagram account, sparking excitement among fans of both artists.
During an interview with TMZ on Tuesday, McLean revealed that after their “Into the Millennium” residency made headlines in July, the Backstreet Boys have added seven more shows at Sphere Las Vegas for December and January 2026.
When asked who he’d like to see perform there, McLean mentioned Coldplay, Lenny Kravitz and the Red Hot Chili Peppers – then added: “I don’t know if she’ll ever do it, but I think Taylor [Swift] “It would completely destroy her.”
He continued: “She is a fan, and we are huge fans of her.” “I mean she’s the sweetest. She’s been so nice to my girls anytime we even got the chance to hang out and meet her at her shows. She’s just the best.”
As the viral mashup continues to surpass one million views on TikTok, McLean said he would “break the planet” if Swift joined them on stage.
Looking directly into the camera, he added: “Taylor, if you want, come and watch the show first, so you know what’s going on. Then you can see if you want to join us. We won’t say no.”
In October, McLean sparked collaboration rumors by posting a video of himself dancing to the remix with the caption: “Come on now, you know one of us had to! @taylorswift!”
“OH HI AJ OH MY GOD,” Swift replied, a comment that has since garnered more than 185,000 likes. Getachew also celebrated the moment, writing: “OMG I just used my mix thank you for your love!”
