It seemed that the world inside a warehouse in the center of Los Angeles had stopped, and all that I saw was a fog of colors, as the pink red shapes were rabbit in shades of yellow and purple. I was surprised by what I felt: comfortable but not tired. This was a deep and sedative condition, you were vigilant on a large scale but unable to zero in the specified thinking or anxiety.
Even if it was only for a moment, anxiety, feeling lonely and lists of tasks felt as if they were sailing. All I had a tendency to live is present, but also out of reach. Although I visited a chromasonic installation in December, with the beginning of 2025 to a stressful start – I was shocked by our region through destroyed forest fires that have been displaced tens of thousands – I was keen to return.
The description of overwhelming experiences in 2025 tends to look like mental health. Many are proud of the ability to revive the participants in the awe, the immediate communication mind, reduce anxiety or inspire dopamine.

Thus, I found myself lying on a concrete floor, a small pillow under my head and straight, transparent panels surrounded by aluminum tires with a lightweight tissue designed on the screen designed to spread light. I put a foot in many light and fun facilities over the years and I was used to preparing something closer to the wonders world. If things go well, I will see some other art, and you may have a chance to play.
And until now, in Chromasonic, I didn’t want to leave – or really move.
Chromasonic is a newly opened artistic installation in the city center. There is also a chromaconian space in Venice, which was launched in 2021 and is a more intimate and isolated area. In the arts area of the city center, the exhibition – Chromasonic field It is its official name – you are free to roam and may interfere with other groups, albeit very quietly.
I wander around and out of the small areas that resemble the box while the LED lights slowly convert their boundaries to feel a little bit. The pictorial music of the Brian Innu atmosphere has the room, where the artificial and human sound interferes until it is impossible to distinguish a tool. The entire region is intended for the transition.
“What interests in Chromasonic is that there is no cultural context of sound and there is no cultural context of light.” Magsamen is also a teaching staff member in the Department of Neurology at Jones Hopkins University, where its academic focus is partial, on the intersection of arts and mental health.
“You changed,” says Magsamen about a chromasonic work. “It is not diverse, but it is separate. You are in a very suspended place that looks like a uterus. There is nothing to stick to, to make a pattern. It is not designed with a pattern, but it changes. So one of the things he does is that it allows your brain to be comfortable at a time because there is nothing to know that.”

Chromasonic is the creation of four artists. Its thesis is somewhere between art and science. When asked about his emotional ambition, Johannes Gerardoni, 57, a co-artist and chromasonic artist, talks about a kind of transcendent experiences that have more than more, or, or nature, or carefully designed-artifacts, or, or, for some.
Gerardoni, a chromatic environment, says it is designed to be a quick path to a contemplative state.
“It is almost like penetration,” says Gerarroni. “Your mind and senses are activated in completely different ways because you do not find information – you do not find a natural and natural narration. Removing all this information – natural physical reality – allows us to move to this expanded and medium method of sensing awareness. I would like to say it is a very effective way to move to this moment. It is a very internal and reflexive experience.”
Wise art, there are precedents. Cooperative with the installation artist and his partner Harriet Gerarroni, as well as with the artists/audio composers Orfio McCord and Joel Shearer, it seems that Chromasonica initially checked debtors for the work of the artist James Torrell, born in Los Angeles, as he uses light as one of its initial materials. The Venice headquarters is not ashamed of this connection, rewriting the Toar quote on the art that allows us. “Feeling yourself sensitive“
“What we do specifically, with a chromasonic,” says, “he says that we can increase mental and mental health-just like reducing stress. It is an art in the service of well -being. This is the main motivation for our work. “

With regard to achieving this goal, the Chromasonic team works on ways to convert light into sound and vice versa. Johannes talks about hosting the city center eventually live music shows, and lighting in real time to music. They call this process “chromasonic frequency”, which is an attempt to sync traffic and sound, using technology to visualize these frequencies.
Concepts, it is believed that we can see the sound and hear light. Johannes says the program allows the team to witness how light and sound waves expand. Johannes says its interpretation can be a more impressive practice, but if everything works, the chromatic space will feel as if it were “living and breathing”.
“Red” is a long wave, and violet is a short wave. You can set that long wave. The long wave will generate a low sound, if you are planning it in the actual time … … When we write, we must be careful.
The researcher Magsamen believes that the Chromasonic team is on something.
“I think the idea of being a radical present marries the other side of the currency for anxiety, depression and fatigue,” says Magsamin. “They are trying to understand what is noise and what is the sign.”

Chromasonic Field can feel as if it is a blur from light and sound, a limited space aimed at relaxing.

Once, when feeling below especially, describe a person close to me. “The rest will be good,” I confirmed, and certainly, I went to bed. But I threw, turned and did anything but rest. I thought about her advice while lying on chromasonic, to think this is the kind of comfort that I meant, as the focus and focus were free from the discomfort that often connects them.
Here, everything was slightly abstract – giving the sound of the road to a foggy mix of lights and I look at different ideas and impressions. I felt like this before – a journey to the National Park of Sikoya comes to mind – but what I liked in Chromasonic is that any feeling of the place feels distorted.
I knew, of course, I was in the city center. However, in this specific space for emotional drift, I really felt that I was never anywhere.
