
Rick Davis, co -founder, singer, and songwriter in the British rock band Superstarp, made his last breathing in 81.
On September 7, it was said that the band announced the death of Rick in a statement, and revealed that he died at his home on the island on September 5 after a decade of a decade with multiple myeloma, a type of leukemia that affects the blood marrow and bone marrow.
The band said in the statement: “Beyond the stage, Rick was known for his warmth, flexibility and dedication to his wife Sue, with whom he participated for five decades.”
“After facing serious health challenges, which kept him unable to continue to wander around Supertramp, enjoy the performance with his hometown buds in the role of Ricky and Rokets.”
He added that “Rick’s music and her legacy continue to inspire many and bear martyrdom on the fact that wonderful songs never die, they live.”
For others, Rick was born in Swindon, England in 1944. During his childhood, he discovered his passion for music as a drama and keys.
The band, formed by the author of songs and guitarist Roger Hodgson, was renamed in 1970.
It is interesting that the band presented the most successful album Breakfast in America In 1979, which was ranked first on the Billboard album scheme with their songs, including The logical songand Farewell strange and Take the long road to the house.
Meanwhile, the band also got Grammy’s nominations during their time, including one in the category of the year album for Breakfast in America In 1980.
In 2015, the singer was diagnosed with cancer, and thus was forced to cancel the European round. Unfortunately, the band did not perform again.
However, Rick continued to perform even after cancer diagnosis, usually under the name Ricky and missiles.
