After President Trump sparked battles in the regeneration of Congress in Texas, California and Missouri, some advocacy groups govern their strategies against partisan Algeria.

President Trump has sparked a re -division of circles in Texas, California, and other states that can reshape the congressional election map. This has long led to some opponents to reconsider their strategies against the re -drawing of voting provinces to assist a specific political party. Hansi Lu Wang reports from NPR.

Wang: … When the first vice president of politics, Omar Nawilin, helped announce that the common issue will not condemn some amazing maps of voting provinces that they see are appropriate to the threat posed by GerryManders in other states.
Noureldin: We had to put our position to meet this current moment because we are not in normal times.

President Donald Trump: We have an opportunity in Texas to capture five seats.
Wang: President Trump pushed a voice on CNBC and other platforms for the new Congress maps that could help maintain the Republican control of the US House of Representatives after the mid -term elections next year.

Trump: We are entitled to get five other seats.

Gavin New Roire: They shot the first – Texas.
Wang: In response, the Democratic Ruler in California, Gavin News, led a confrontation to make a ballot in November. It is scheduled to ask the state voters to allow a new map of gerrymandored that Democrats can get five seats at home.

Newsom: We will not here did not do what they just did, Donald Trump did what he just did.
Noureldin: At the same time, we saw the president publishing the National Guard in the capital
Wang: Norlden says that the common cause has changed his position on classifying fashion because he fears that Trump’s movements can make him in the end and Congress is indisputable for voters and out any future opportunity to make representative democracy for this country more just.
Noureldin: The proposal of a birth citizen, who undermines the independence of the courts, using misleading information to weaken confidence in our elections, and this battle that re -divides the circles is suitable. It relates to controlling the government, regardless of what voters want.
Selena Stewart: If this had been dealt with years ago (laughter), we will not be in this place.
Wang: Selena Stewart is the CEO of the voter association. The invitation group, like the common issue, has achieved its position against GerryMandering. They now urge states not to harm ethnic and ethnic minorities, younger voters and agricultural societies. Stewart says these continuous re -division battles are the result of the Supreme Court ruling in 2019, and that partisan partisans cannot be reviewed by federal courts.
Stewart: This is part of the way we have come here now because of the Supreme Court’s unwillingness to examine this. In addition, Congress failed to act and transfer legislation that would also unite things.
Wang: During the Biden administration, Republicans prevented the democratic batch to pass a national ban on party fashion. David Dali of Verfot, who supports the re -division of non -partisan circuits, says this type of ban will help, but the country also needs a different way to elect members of Congress.
David Dali: I think we should look forward to a more harmonious house.
Wang: Daly says that the House of Representatives can have several members representing each region. Defenders say relative representation can help reduce calm and political extremism.
Dali: Until we seriously look at these problems and try to imagine the major structural repairs that can bring us back to the right track, we will do the boundaries towards the bottom and stay there.
Wang: But at the present time, Dali says he is watching the new GERYMANDERED maps that may be passed soon in states such as Missouri, Ouhayu and Indiana.
