So You Think You Can Dance star Donnell Jones has died

Donnell Jones has died at the age of 46.

The reality TV star died on Tuesday after a long battle with breast cancer. The news was announced on Jones’ Instagram account.

The message read: “Today at 8:34 AM, Donyelle Denise Wilson passed away. Wife, daughter, sister, friend and warrior who kicked cancer a** every day she was here.”

The letter added: “Her spirit never faded. Her heart never hardened. Even in the storm, she never lost her smile.”

She died nearly ten years after being diagnosed with stage 3C breast cancer, which later progressed to stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Donyelle, a hip-hop and jazz dancer, participated in the second season of the dance reality series City CD In 2006, he finished third behind winner Benji Schwimmer and runner-up Travis Wall.

A week before her death was announced, a video was shared with fans showing Donnell sitting in a chair with tubes in her nose.

“Hello everyone, Donyelle Dennis here. I have reached the point where I have begun to put my affairs in order. Most of you know, at this point, I am in a nursing home and have done everything in my power to extend my time here in this dimension. At this point I have surrendered to whatever is God’s will,” she can be heard saying.

The video details how her liver “stopped working” even though she was hoping for a “miraculous recovery.”

“I’m bold. I have to believe you can do it but I’m also conscious enough to know I’ve got ten years of miracles. What more could I ask for?” Donyell Jones concluded at the time.
