SMOROBOT is a new brand for us, but the manufacturer has seven already different autonomous billions under its belt, including this one, Smorobot C1 tank. As the name suggests, this robot aims to be the backbone in the complex, and it is a 150 -minute operating time and the maximum coverage of an area of 2500 square feet.
The robot size is about 12 x 17 x 15 (HXWXL) in size and weighs 18 pounds. It is run by a 7800 mAh battery, and it is on the small side of a robot of this size; But in my test, it could have always exceeded the time of its specified operation of 150 minutes, usually about half an hour.

The large “face” of Smorobot Tank C1 has a set of LED lights, but it is not particularly useful.
Christopher Lag/Mabek
The unusual form of the robot makes an attractive design: an angle front plate with a wide handle that dominates the device. In the depth, the debris is collected in a very large filter basket that is accessed via a hole. Two of the device are a wide operation on the device, while two brushes for spinning in front of robot and dirt righteous leaves towards the suction unit while moving. My test unit was white with a blue trim. A white and gray model is also available.
Smorobot Tank C1 is more effective in capturing gravel and sand than it is with the leaves.
to set
Simple power key allows you to choose from the cleaning modes: floor only (F), floors and walls. The unit is operated through a two -sided charging port that must be covered by a waterproof screw when it is in the water. A simple A/C transgender is included in the box, along with a retrieval hook, required to remove the robot from the pool.
This front panel has a long line of LED lights that work on the entire face of the device. The lights in the middle indicate the battery condition, and remains slowly with the battery drain to nothing, and then overcome it on the contrary.
However, there is not much point to these indicators, as it is difficult to see when the robot is in water. If the robot is stuck in something, there is a more clear way to tell it about trying to look into the water to enjoy some red lamps.
performance

The Smorobot C1 tank spent about 10 minutes trying to extract itself from this impasse.
Christopher Lag/Mabek
I tested the C1 tank in my swimming pool in several days and found that although it was working well enough, it was not at the highest level of billiards robots. After dropping the robot in the water, slowly drown on the bottom, then, well, sit there for a few minutes. Smorobot says this is according to the design, but throughout my tests, I was surprised by the time of his operation, which was occupied by inactivity, apparently trying to hesitate to its next big step.
Perhaps because of this great late time, the C1 tank did not make the best function in the cleaning process in my test, as it collected about 90 percent of the materials in the artificial leave test, and some areas are clearly lost in my usual test with organic leaves. The 90 percent collection rate is not terrible, but for this price, I hoped to get better results.
More importantly, the C1 tank also fights with the walls – in particular traffic – in an evaluation evaluation. Although it was often possible to climb the walls to clean the water line, I also saw that it failed to form the wall on multiple occasions, or stopped in the middle of the road before returning to the ground, where he was sitting for a while before trying or turning and moving to another place.

Robot debris basket is very large, but it is very difficult to reach it.
Christopher Lag/Mabek
There was not much rhyme or the cause of this, as subsequent climbing attempts would be likely to succeed as was the case. The corners were also a big problem for the C1 tank, including one external angle in my pool that saw the device stuck on the hills for 10 minutes. It is worth noting that the device is not designed to clean the steps, which, like most billions of billiards, have a lot.
Upon completion, Smorobot Tank C1 is designed to stand near the wall to retrieve with the hooks. I would like this performance as not completely adjacent to the wall, but at least close enough to reach it with the hook on the pole.
Cleaning is reasonably clear as soon as you know how to open the opening over the candidate basket. (You should press down on a certain spot that was marked at the top of the structure to allow the adjacent latch to release.) The opening of the arthrople of the filters basket is more difficult, and I found that the cover was so tight that I had to resort to the use of the screwdriver to open it. Things did not improve in repeated tests, and in the end, I was afraid to break something by doing this if I was using the robot regularly.

The Smorobot C1 tank was more effective in absorbing the physical material than it was in vacuum leaves.
Smorobot
When looking inside the candidate basket, I could say that the unit was more effective in capturing the grains and sand more than it was with the leaves; As with many first -class robots, the basket was loaded with debris that I was not aware of it was in the pool before I shot it into the water. The arthropod cover is a little embarrassing to open it; Otherwise, it is easily cleaned with a hose.
Do you have to buy a SMOROBOT C1 robot collection?
Note that the pool cleaner does not come with a mobile application. Smorobot contains one, but it currently works only with the courage line of robots. The manufacturer says that the C1 tank version of the application is still under development, and since the tank contains Bluetooth’s capabilities, the application’s support may not be far away.

The Smorobot Tank C1 request price of $ 600 (Amazon was offered a $ 200 in this writing) in the low price of medium -term robots, which seems suitable for robots that is almost no decoration. It works well enough, and never approaches greatness.
In my book, even the robot that does not need frills needs to make better performance than this to dispense with a strong recommendation.
