While receiving the honor, Sarah, best known for her roles in… American Horror Story and Ocean 8recalls another unforgettable day in her career, when she took to the Broadway stage for the first time.
“The first time I was on Broadway, I remember I was an understudy for the great actress Amy Ryan and I was 19 and I went up to her and I remember looking offstage and the theater gave me a like, ‘Are you ready to go?’
“But I was starting on stage, and the curtain had to go up, so I gave him a thumbs up.”
She continues: “The curtain rose, and I remember the coolness of the temperature difference between the audience and the stage, the rustle of the programs and the people applauding the group, and it was just a moment that I will never forget.”
