Sadie Sink provided a rare glimpse into how her transition from Stranger Things into the world of Spider-Man felt surprisingly familiar.
For those who are not experienced, Spider-Man: A Brand New Day It is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 31, 2026.
Talk to Hollywood ReporterSink revealed that she learned she would be joining the Spider-Verse while she was still filming the final season of Stranger Things on Netflix.
“Oh, it was crazy,” Sink shared.
“Spider-Man has always been my favorite. I love Spider-Man. I love Tom’s Spider-Man, in particular,”
“Being a fan of something and then joining it is a familiar feeling for me, because I was a Stranger Things fan before I joined the show, but I was very excited about what they had planned.”
The actress also noted that the project holds personal significance because it brought her together with director Destin Daniel Cretton.
“I also worked with director Destin Daniel Creten on one of the first films I ever did when I was 14, so it’s kind of a full-circle moment,” she said.
“I had a great time working on this film.”
While Sink is keeping story details low for now, she hinted that fans can expect more in the future.
“I can’t wait to talk about this more. There’s so much I want to share,” she added.
Before concluding, Cink joked that dealing with secrecy across both franchises had become second nature.
“That’s why I feel like keeping Stranger Things secrets is kind of easy because I have a lot of Spider-Man secrets that I’m sitting on that make me feel more secretive.”
