Sabrina Carpenter has been keeping fans on their toes. She seems to enjoy knowing that every move she makes is analyzed for potential clues or Easter eggs about her next project.
The same excitement followed the pop star, who is currently in New York for her five-night stand at Madison Square Garden, when she stepped out for a day out with friends.
Photos circulating on social media show Carpenter and her friends in Prospect Park in Brooklyn on October 27.
For the outing, the blonde beauty wore a long black coat with a black and white checkered scarf, with light blue jeans peeking out underneath.
In many snapshots, she is seen holding a professional camera, and appears to be capturing something.
Her outings have fans wondering what might happen next. One fan pointed out that the last time paparazzi captured Sabrina with her dog, it was before she dropped her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend.
“Her camera was probably an Easter egg since her dog was,” she said, referring to how paparazzi photos with her pet surfaced ahead of the release of her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend.
Other fans shouted: “Maybe Deluxe??” One person speculated, while another wrote: “I think it’s a music video release because I doubt she’ll drop a deluxe album so soon after the album.”
Some loyal followers even came up with ideas for possible names for her next music project, joking: “Possible titles for SC8: Photos, Scarf, Autumn Coat, Camera, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World. Are there any clues I’m missing?”
The excitement around a potential eighth album is palpable. “SC8 will be released next year or even this year, omg it will be so exciting,” one fan wrote.
Another toned down the noise, warning: “Guys, it’s not an album, relax.”
If it’s not an album, could it be a music video or even a movie? One fan joked: “Sabrina, please stop being the main character in a rom-com if you’re not actually going to be next year; it’s killing me.” “Sabrina, please stop being the main character in a rom-com if you’re not planning on being in one next year; it’s killing me,” one user joked.
For now, it’s all just wild guesses and theories. Fans are reading up on every little hint, but Sabrina hasn’t confirmed anything yet.
. The idea for an eighth album is particularly ambitious, as she released her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, just three months ago on August 29.
The 12-track album arrived just one year after her Short n’ Sweet album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, her first record to top the charts.
All tracks from Short n’ Sweet also charted at the same time on the Billboard Hot 100.
Carpenter is currently busy delighting fans on her Short n’ Sweet tour, which is scheduled to end on November 23, 2025, after 72 shows.
