Ruth Gibbins, Liam Payne’s sister, remembers the high school she attended with her late brother, which is now being demolished.
Taking to Instagram, she recalls the fond memories she shared there with the One Direction alum, writing, “Hearing that part of our high school is being demolished and having clear memories of Liam waiting by my locker asking me for money all the time, I feel like he’s being completely removed from this planet, all the places we used to be and he’s not here to change with a thousand little losses every day.”
Liam’s death shocked many in his circle, including his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, who he was in a relationship with when the shocking incident happened.
“I want to make something clear. Anyone I end up with in my future has to accept the fact that I will always love Liam,” she said on TikTok.
The internet star continued: “I will always talk about Liam, I will always laugh about Liam, I will always cry about Liam.”
“Let me tell you something, Liam Payne was my friend. He wasn’t just a celebrity to me,” she noted.
“It’s very painful because I get criticized all the time for talking about my friend who died, the person I loved and still love.”
“I will never accept anyone in this life who didn’t feel comfortable enough when I talked about Liam,” Kate shared.
“Liam has been a very big part of my life. He’s been my best friend, someone I really thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with, and obviously I know that one day I’m going to have to move on. I want to get married one day. I want to have kids.”
Kate concluded her speech by saying: “When someone dies, they die twice, once when they actually die, and the second time when you stop talking about it. I will not let Liam die twice on me. I will love him forever.”
In 2024, Liam fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Later, after a scan, alcohol and cocaine were found in his system.
