Kiev, Ukraine – Russia has hit the capital of Ukraine with drones and missiles on Sunday in the largest air attack on the country since the war began, killing at least two people and letting smoke rising from the roof of a major government building.
Officials said Russia attacked Ukraine with 805 drones.

CK was the largest Russian drone since it started the full invasion of Ukraine. Russia also launched 13 missiles of various types.
Ukraine broke down and neutralized 747 drones and 4 missiles, according to a statement issued by the Air Force.
There were nine times the missiles and 56 plane strikes in 37 sites across Ukraine. The debris fell from drones and missiles in 8 locations.
Associated Press reporters saw a group of smoke that rises from the ceiling of the cabinet in Kiev, but it was not immediately clear whether the smoke was the result of direct beatings or wreckage, which would make an escalation in the Russian air campaign. Russia has so far avoided targeting government buildings in the city center.
The building is the home of the cabinet in Ukraine, and includes its ministers ’offices. The police prevented access to the building when firefighters and ambulances arrived.

Ukrainian officials said two people were killed and 15 were injured in the attack.
“For the first time, the government building was damaged by the enemy’s attack, including ceiling and higher floors,” said Ukraine Prime Minister Yulia Sfridinko. “We will restore the buildings, but the lost lives cannot be repeated.”
She said: “The world must respond to this destruction not only in words, but with procedures. There is a need to enhance the pressure of sanctions – primarily against Russian oil and gas.”
Timor Takchinko, head of the city of Kiev, said from among the dead, one of the dead was one year -old, whose body was removed from the rubble by rescuers.
Drose Drone Debris hit a nine -storey residential building in the Sviatoshynskyi area in KyIV and a four -storey residential building in the Darnytskyi area, according to mayor Vitallii Klitschko.
On Sunday’s attack is the second Russian drone and missile attack to target Kiev within two weeks, and the hopes of peace talks are fading.
This attack comes after European leaders pressed Russian leader Vladimir Putin to work to end the war after 26 Ukraine allies pledged to deploy the forces as a reassurance force “for the war that was torn by the war as soon as the fighting ends.
Ukrainian President Folodimir Zelinski said he was ready to meet Putin to negotiate a peace agreement, and urged US President Donald Trump to put penalties for Russia to push it to end the war.
