I don’t know if you’ve seen anything about the Barack Obama Presidential Center. But if you don’t, he posted about it on Saturday.





“When the Obama Presidential Center opens next year, it will be a center for change — a place where people from around the world come together, get inspired, and take what they learn back to their communities.”

It’s been a boondoggle now for some time. He is actually the perfect representation of Barack Obama.

Here’s a Newsweek headline about the project: “Behind schedule, over budget, and mired in lawsuits.”

One resident described it as “wild”, a departure from the beautiful area that once existed there. So much for the feelings of the locals. I think they are lost in narcissism.

But it’s kind of funny that Obama is posting about it, standing there with Michelle, admiring it, like it’s a great thing, because quite frankly, it has to be one of the ugliest buildings I’ve ever seen. The video ends with the phrase, “Let’s bring change home.” That’s a change, okay. But just like the change Obama has brought to the country, it doesn’t look good, like the gray ugliness of the buildings of the Soviet Union or A miserable prison.

Some posted videos showing X-Wing fighters from “Star Wars” approaching the library building, while others modified the structure sideways to replace the massive torsos of AT-AT walkers from “The Empire Strikes Back.”

Others placed the Eye of Sauron from the “Lord of the Rings” films on its roof, and others posted pictures of the heads of Easter Island.

Cat litter boxes were also included in the comparisons, as were common litter boxes, dumpsters, and ephemera from “Star Trek” and “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.”

“It’s Obama’s ‘sin’! Just like his presidency!” one person wrote.

Another said: “It’s as if someone built a Lego set without the instructions.”
