A bad-news, name-brand Queens duo went on a week-long crime spree last month, robbing unsuspecting people of their North Face jackets and luxury shoes at knifepoint.
According to cops, the pair would corner their target each time, usually displaying a blade and then demanding the victim’s belongings, including winter coats, sneakers and other valuables.
In the first incident, on December 12, at 4:20 p.m., they robbed a 14-year-old near 99-42nd Street in Corona, stealing his North Face jacket valued at $220 and other property.
They struck again that same day about an hour later, when they stole a 13-year-old’s backpack worth $140, along with other property, near 99-31 Corona Ave.
Three days later, the costume crew was back again, this time in nearby Elmhurst. Around 2:35 p.m., they surrounded a 16-year-old near 93-35 Lamont Ave. They forcibly removed Jordans sneakers worth $100, as well as other property.
An hour later, in Elmhurst, they swung their blades at a 19-year-old boy near 43-13 Elbertson Street and snatched his $330 North Face jacket and other possessions.
After another 15 minutes, they returned to Corona, where they quickly zeroed in on a 21-year-old man, near 102-46th Street. They again threatened him with a knife, but this time – with more valuable loot on the horizon and against an older victim – they used force, punching him several times in the face and body before grabbing his expensive $1,200 Balenciaga sneakers and fleeing. Police said the victim’s injuries did not require hospitalization.
Last but not least, on December 19 around 7:25 p.m., back on their Corona turf, the two scored a double – spotting a young victim wearing a North Face jacket and Jordans. They swarmed the 14-year-old near 96-23 42nd Ave., making off with his $280 coat and $270 worth of kicks.
Police provided a description of the suspects who appeared to be young men. The first is a light-skinned man, last seen wearing a black Moose Knuckles jacket, black jeans, and white Jordan sneakers.
The second is a light-skinned man, last seen wearing a black hooded shirt, shorts, and black sneakers.
