Police are searching for a suspect dressed in black after a shooting at Brown University

At least two people are dead and others injured after a shooting at Brown University on Saturday shortly after 4:00 p.m. according to Associated Press.

WBAL-TV I mentioned The conditions of the wounded have not been released.

During a press conference at 6:30 p.m., officials explained that eight people were injured in addition to the two dead.

Police indicated that they did not know the type of firearm used in the attack, and the mayor of Providence, Rhode Island, Brett Smiley, said that no suspects had been arrested.

Police are asking people to avoid the area while the search for the suspect continues. They described the suspect as a “man dressed in black.”

Final exams were being held in the building where the shooting occurred.
