Government media reported on Tuesday that North Korea tested a new type of intercontinental missile engine.
Government News Agency KCNA reported that the ruler Kim Jong Un personally attended the ninth and last test of the new engine at the Pyongyang Chemical Academy on Monday.
According to the agency, the maximum drive for the engine is 1971 kg, which will be unusually high according to international standards. The information provided by the North Korean authorities cannot be verified independently.
In recent years, North Korea has developed different types of intercontinental missiles with a semalese circle sufficient to reach the mainland of the United States.
