Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser launched into a self-aware monologue tonight, shaking her head at the current news events that have everyone distracted.
“Yes, the Golden Globes: without a doubt, the most important thing happening in the world right now,” Glaser said. “I can’t believe the amount of star power we have in this room tonight. It’s crazy. There are so many celebrities. And by celebrities I mean the people on this heavily redacted A-list.”
Glaser also jokingly announced a few Golden Globe winners for non-existent categories, taking home Best Editing for the U.S. Department of Justice and Most Editing for CBS News.
“CBS News: America’s newest place to watch CBS News,” Glaser joked.
That’s not to say Glaser didn’t devote plenty of time to toasting attendees at the Golden Globes, too. This included digging in Battle after battle Actor Leonardo DiCaprio for his notorious habit of only dating women under the age of 30 – and apparently the only information Glaser has been able to dig up about him.
“I tried not to do that [make that joke]“But we don’t know anything else about you, man,” Glaser said, addressing DiCaprio from the stage. “There’s nothing else. Like, open up. I’m serious! I looked. I looked. The most in-depth interview I’ve ever done was in Teen beat magazine in 1991. Is your favorite food still pasta, pasta, and more pasta?
