Alana Zabel, Nick Reiner’s former yoga instructor, spoke out about Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner after their deaths.
Talk to People magazine, Alana, who taught Rob, Michelle, and their children yoga in private lessons, shared that the late couple were “incredibly passionate, parents who did the best they could.” She noted that their deaths were “shocking.”
Furthermore, the health expert said Nick was “notorious” for making sessions with her mother difficult.
“We could never get through a single yoga session without Nikki intervening and having a severe or meltdown, and that would break the flow of the yoga class,” she said.
After years of group lessons, Alana was asked to teach Nick “one-on-one.”
“Which I started doing to help him calm down and channel his energy,” she recalled.
When sharing Nick’s childhood, Alana describes it as “a perfect storm… one of those things that, as much as they tried to manage it, get help and process it, none of us were able to defuse it.”
According to Alana, Michelle Singer was a “very doting” mother. “She lived for these children… She was so generous and beautiful,” she said.
This comes as Nick Reiner has been arrested for the murders of Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner on December 14, 2025.
