Nick Reiner, the son of Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner, has been charged with the couple’s murder.

While Nick has spoken openly about his struggles with drug addiction, homelessness and rehab, the source claims that his “issues were very far out of his parents’ control.”
They added: “He did not take it [his parents’] Seriously help. This has been true for years and years.”
Furthermore, the source also shared that Rob and Michelle’s other children, Jake and Romy, were “sympathetic to how much his struggles contributed to his behavior.”
The source added: “They never lost hope in him, even when he scared them or made their lives more difficult.”
“Nick had a lot of good days too,” they said, noting that his struggles “would change day by day. They thought they had more time before it led to tragedy.”
Rob Reiner and Michelle Singer Reiner were found dead inside their home in Los Angeles on December 14, 2025. Nick Reiner appeared in court on December 17 and his lawyer Alan Jackson refused to enter a plea for his client. Now his trial will continue on January 7, 2026.
