Manchester City: Claudio Ishvirieri spoke with “Legend” Sergio Aguero before agreeing to move

Argentine midfielder Claudio Tenseri said he spoke with former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero before agreeing to join the Premier League club.

City Echeverri signed for 12.5 million pounds from River Plate in January 2024 in a four and a half years deal, but loaned him to the Argentine club to continue its development.

He spent the beginning of the year 2025 in the South American Championship under the twenties of the last century, and took Argentina in second place.

Echeverri, 19, is the twelfth Argentine who signs Manchester City and is now available to play for the club after joining the Pep Guardiola team.

“I spoke to [Sergio] Aguero, I knew that [the relationship between Argentina and Manchester City]. “I change, in particular, it stands out,” said Eshevirio.

“He is a legend here in Manchester City because of everything he achieved and the amazing player he was.”

Former Manchester City defender Martin Dimichlis gave Echeverri for the first time in River Place in June 2023.

Echeverri scored four goals through 48 games for Buenos Aires.

“Football was my life, and my dream was to play with one of the best teams in Europe. Today is closer to this dream.”

“Manchester City is one of the best teams in the world. They don’t only win prizes, but play the game very beautifully. They are an example for everyone – they explain to people how to play football in the best way.

“My family and I are very proud of our presence here. My focus now is to work hard as much as I can training to show the manager and his employees, I am good enough to be part of this team.”

City also signed Argentina striker Julian Alvarez, who has since left for Atletico Madrid in a deal worth 81 million pounds, in a similar deal from River Play in January 2022.

“Claudio is one of the best talents that have appeared from South America in recent years. We knew once he watched him playing, we wanted to become a player in Manchester City,” said Texas Pidristan, the city’s football manager.

“All natural elements exist – a touch, its style, the eye of the goal and the ability to dodge. Our mission now is to take these features and the formation of Claudio to a global player.

“We will provide him with everything he needs to become the best he can be. If he works hard, he listens to PeP and gives everything at all, I don’t see any reason for his inability to become a big player.”
