Kim Kardashian ended up in new drama this week after her quiet show in private turned into a public battle with OJ Simpson’s estate.
Kim shared on her show that she offered fifteen thousand dollars to buy the Bible that her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., once gave to Simpson.
The beauty icon’s message was later leaked online and her offer was rejected, much to her upset.
She even said she was going for thirty thousand dollars because this item means a lot to her.
Things escalated when Malcolm Lavergne, the conservator of Simpson’s estate, returned fire.
He told TMZ that Kim was making the story seem different than what actually happened.
He also attacked her personally by saying she had not yet passed the bar exam, then bragged that he had passed three exams on his first attempt. He ended by saying that she was at least richer than him.
The Bible was later sold at auction for eighty thousand dollars. Lavergne said the estate had no choice because the lot was already locked up at auction and he was there to sell it to cover expenses.
He also said that Kim’s team contacted him after the agreement had already been reached.
The Bible held strong sentimental value for the mother of four, because it contained a long letter her father wrote to Simpson in the 1990s.
However, this moment came right after Kim found out that she failed the California bar exam again.
Moreover, Kim told her followers that she will not give up and plans to study harder until she finally succeeds.
