According to a new report from Star Magazinethe couple’s different lifestyles have caused some growing pains, especially as Curtis adjusts to Aniston’s status as a global celebrity.
Giving insight into their romance, a source told the outlet that Curtis is finding it difficult to keep up with the reality of dating one of Hollywood’s biggest stars.
“It’s a culture shock,” the insider said of their contrasting worlds.
However, the source noted that Curtis has no intention of changing his suit.
“But Jim isn’t interested in turning into a piece of upscale arm candy just to keep up with Jen,” they added.
The insider also explained that although the couple cares deeply about each other, compromise will be key moving forward.
According to the insider, “For Jen and Jim to be successful in the business long-term, they will have to find a middle ground between Jim’s down-to-earth, thrift-store style and Jen’s world, where she’s being waited on as usual.”
“For this to work, Jen is the one who has to change, and she knows it,” the source concluded.
