James Cameron has made it clear that Arnold Schwarzenegger will not appear in the upcoming period finisher Premium.
The 71-year-old director gave the shocking update during an interview with Hollywood Reporter.
“I can safely say it won’t be,” James admitted. “It’s time for a new generation of characters.”
“I insisted that Arnold should take part in Terminator: Dark Fate, and it was a great ending for him playing the T-800,” he continued. Avatar: Fire and Ashes exit.
James added: “There has to be a broader interpretation of the Terminator and the idea of the Time War and superintelligence. I want to do new things that people can’t imagine.”
