- AirPods Pro 3 users are still angry at Apple for not fixing the frustrating persistent issue when enabling ANC
- These issues surfaced a few months ago when Apple launched the AirPods Pro 3, but the company has yet to address the flaws
- Users on Reddit share that despite going through multiple replacement models, hardware and firmware upgrades are not helping the issue
Are you still having problems with your AirPods Pro 3? Don’t feel like you’re going crazy, you’re not the only one.
Since Apple launched the latest addition to its family of audio devices in September, users have reported static and crackling in their earbuds when active noise cancellation is enabled, and no music playing. Some users also reported that it affects music playback.

From now until October MacRumors Note that despite Apple releasing two firmware updates (version 8B25 in November, and version 8B30 on December 10), the company still failed to fix the one issue that users have been dealing with since the launch of the earbuds. But it doesn’t end there; MacRumors adds that some users have also reported latency issues as well as audio sync issues when watching videos.
Although some AirPods Pro 3 users were looking for direct replacement models from Apple, this did not improve the above issues. One user on Reddit even shared that they went through four different pairs of AirPods Pro 3 looking for a solution, and expressed their anger at Apple for “pretending like it’s nothing.”
Among users’ impatience and annoyance, there’s also an overwhelming feeling of regret over upgrading to the latest AirPods Pro 2 earbuds, which one user in the Reddit thread above described as “pretty annoying.” They’re right, as we also called the AirPods Pro 2 a “very worthwhile upgrade from Apple.”
Right now, there doesn’t appear to be a firmware or hardware fix for these issues, and Apple hasn’t spoken out yet, which hasn’t helped the current wave of user frustration. Apple’s latest firmware updates don’t list the exact issues they aim to fix, simply noting “bug fixes and other improvements.”
