America is a deep spiritual nation. More than 70 % of us say we feel the spirit in some way. But – at the same time – we are less religious. Therefore, for people who are spiritual but not religious-what replaces the organized religion? What do they do? Believe -Where does this appear in their daily lives? In our new series called religious loss, it was a minute to discover it.
This week, we enter into drugology. This is an umbrella that includes the drug LSD, magic mushrooms, peyote, often ketamine and MDMA as well, among other things. Some of these drugs have a history of spiritual practice that extends to thousands of years. But there is a new collection that already takes into account a narcotic cloak: Tech Bros and CEOS. Bretani joined the Maxim-Dunn, a doctoral candidate at Tokyo University, and Emma Goldberg, the New York Times, to discuss what it means that these drugs flow-and sometimes financially supported-before the technical elite, and how it can affect our relationship to our culture as spiritual tools.
