The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounce strikes, and calls for action to take action
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a statement after the strikes, which led to “a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.”
These attacks constitute a direct threat to the stability of both Syria and the region, and it is part of a “series of aggressive escalation” by Israel against Syria, according to the ministry.
The Ministry also called on the international community, including the United Nations Security Council, to “put an end to these repeated attacks.”
The IDF has made air strikes in Syria in recent months, during the clashes between the Syrian Druze tribes and the Bedouins in Suwaida in July.
The IDF also made several multiple strikes and incursions in late August, according to Damascus.
This also included Israeli Defense Army soldiers from four helicopters to a military position near Kisoa, south of Damascus, according to a Syrian military source at that time.
These soldiers carried out the weapons that Iran had now provided to the Assad regime, which was stored in the region.
