On Monday, Apple iOS 26 issued a few months after the company announced that it is at the World Developers Conference in June. The update brings a lot of new features to your iPhone, such as checking calls, as well as redesigning a new liquid glass. Apple said if you download the update and notice that your battery drains faster than usual, this is normal and more important than that.
Some people notice the drain of their iPhone battery faster than usual after Apple has released an update, and the company issued a statement online saying that nothing was concerned.

“This is normal, as your device needs time to complete the preparation process in the background, including data indexing and files for search, downloading new assets, updating applications,” I wrote Apple on the support page. “Immediately after the update is completed, especially a major version, you may temporarily notice the battery life and thermal performance.”
But using your iPhone may contribute to the battery drain. Apple said that some of the new features may need more resources to work, so based on the amount of use of your iPhone, you may “notice a simple effect on performance and/or battery life.”
