“Look at what is happening. In less than 100 days, this administration caused a lot of damage and destruction,” Biden said, citing the job discounts requested by the Trump administration in the Social Security Administration.
In his first appearance since he left his post in January, Biden spoke about half an hour ago about 130 members of the defenders, advisers and representatives of the disabled in a hotel in the center of Chicago. Trump’s name has never been used. But he often attacked the current administration and claimed that it was creating “deep” psychological concerns among the elderly over potential discounts and reaching the advantages of social security disability.
“Psychological effect is deep,” said Biden. “Many of these beneficiaries are their only income. If it is cut or taken away, the psychological pressure through this debate is completely destroyed.”
Trump has promised not to reduce social security advantages as part of the partial federal budget savings plans to extend the tax cuts granted during his first term. But Republicans who control Congress are under pressure to find savings, and they feed democratic warnings about the lack of confidence in Trump, social security, medical care, and poor health care, can be on the cutting block.
He narrated some of the familiar family phrases that he used repeatedly during his campaign that was thwarted to re -election, Biden asked the Republicans, “What are they thinking of the right of hell” to consider any reducing the benefits of the elderly.
He said: “Social security is more than just a government program. It is a sacred promise and remains a sacred promise.”
He said that American workers “pushed social security and relied on social security to be there when they need it.” “We must never betray that confidence and transform our appearance on this commitment.”
