The International Games Association (IGDA-F) has welcomed Shannon Louvitis as a new chairman of its board of directors.
Loftis replaces ED Fries, who is stepped from his manager after two years but is still on the blackboard.
Loftis brings “more than 30 years in developing games and adhering to inclusion” in Microsoft “that will allow the Foundation to enhance its goals of diversity, fairness and inclusion of world developers.
“I am glad and honored to lead this council, and work closely with the institution and with IGDA,” Lavos said.
“IGDA is one of the most comprehensive, global and effective organizations in the development of the game, and I think our mission is more important today than ever.”
“I have worked alongside Shannon from our days in Microsoft; she is an excellent pioneer in her background and her experience in the industry that makes her perfectly suitable for the role of the chair.” “I am sure that IGDA will remain loyal to its values under its supervision.”
Although IGDA-F is a separate entity from the IGDA itself, a charitable organization that serves an active and marginalized actress gaming developers around the world through professional development programs, advice, scholarships, and game jam.
