I left four days to raise the circle on the global plastic pollution treaty

The countries in Loggerheads remained on Monday on how to treat plastic pollution, leaving only four days to formulate a prominent global treaty on the constantly increasing lesion.

While plastic has been around modern life, plastic pollution poses an increasing threat to the environment and the human body – and every day garbage accumulates on Earth and in the oceans.

The 184 countries meet at the United Nations to sculpt the first international agreement to determine the way forward to the negotiating table a day after Sunday to think about their differences.

The first week of the talks in Geneva was late for the schedule and failed to produce a clear text, as countries are still divided deeply in the first square: the purpose and the scope of the treaty that they began negotiating two and a half years ago.

Last week, working groups met with technical topics ranging from plastic design to waste, production and financing for recycling, plastic reuse and waste collection in developing countries.

They also discussed the molecules and chemical additives that are environmental and health risks.

Competition camps

A group of oil-producing countries mostly calls itself similar group-including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Russia, Iran and Malaysia-the concentration treaty primarily on waste management.

The United States and India are close to this club.

At the other end of the spectrum, an increasing faction calls themselves that the “ambitious” group wants a fundamental procedure written in the treaty, including measures to reduce the damage caused by plastic garbage, such as the gradual disposal of the most dangerous chemicals.

The ambitious group wants a condition in plastic production, which has been set to three times by 2060.

The club brings together the European Union with many countries of Africa, Australia, Australia, Britain, Switzerland and Canada.

Speaking of 39 small developing countries (SIDS), Palau said that the treaty should deal with the removal of plastic garbage “actually strangle our oceans.”

The consensus of “illusion”

Without touched on whether the ambitious countries will eventually abandon the consensus and go to vote, the European Union’s Environment Commander Jessica Roswal, scheduled in Geneva on Monday, urged countries to accelerate negotiations and not “miss this historic opportunity.”

The treaty of the treaty swelled from 22 to 35 pages-with the number of brackets in the high text near five times to nearly 1500 when the two countries make a snowstorm of conflicting desires and ideas.

“With another four days, we have more square brackets in the text more than plastic at sea. It is time to get the results,” said Roswal.

In total, it is expected that 70 ministers and about 30 senior government officials in Geneva from Tuesday will be up, and they may help break the stalemate.
