The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) launches a review to start removing illegal foreigners from housing in Section 8 and requested to prove American citizenship to tenants in HUD housing.
The Secretary of Hud Scottrner revealed on Friday that the agency was “asking” from all the Public Housing Authority (PHA) “to provide a complete and comprehensive accounting” to all tenants who live in Hood -funded housing, or who receive the voucher of Section 8, within 30 days. Hood also requested the proof of American citizenship or “qualified migration.”
“Within 30 days of receiving this notice, HUD requests all the Public Housing Authority (PHA) to submit a complete and comprehensive accounting for all tenants who receive the voucher of Section 8 and/or stay in HUD’s funding housing,” Terner said. “HUD requires the name, postal address, the number of bedrooms, the cost of unit, the proof of American citizenship, or the state of qualified migration as specified in the law.”
“Illegal foreigners will not be able to leave empty citizenship funds or benefit from HUD housing, and ride the diligent American citizens’ disasters,” Turner continued.
Turner continued to note that “HUD only serves one of four qualified families, in part, because the ban on the federal government’s assistance was not enforced to illegal foreigners.”
“HUD will benefit from all the enforcement procedures available against entities that do not comply with citizenship information, including, but not limited to, HUD financing and/or evaluation of the PAA program,” added, adding.
During an interview with Charles from Fox News Charles Hurt Jesse WattersTurner explained that the agency has informed “more than 3000 phas” of the same requirements, according to Fox News.
“Priority will be given to American citizens when it comes to living in government -funded housing,” Terner said.
The HUD Housing Program, also known as Section 8, is described as “low -income families, the elderly, old warriors, and disabled individuals, housing costs in the private market,” according to HUD’s Website.
Those in the program can choose “Any qualified housing unit, including one family homes, inclinations, and apartments, with rent partially covered with paid support directly to the owner.”
In April, Turner wrote a letter to HUD and stakeholders explaining that “no taxpayers will be granted to organizations that support, include, shelter or care for illegal foreigners who broke the law.”
